Our Plans & Goals for the Burn Care Unit
To provide effective care for severely burned patients and to reduce their pain and suffering during hospitalization. To achieve faster wound care healing and management with techniques, such as skin grafting and other reconstructive surgeries. The shortening of the length of stay of burn patients in hospitals is beneficial for their reintegration with their families.
What Have We Done?
Equipment donations are directly connected with our “Recycle & Reuse Program”. The goal of the project is to supply the necessary equipment and supplies.

Our partnership with the Tina Insanally Foundation has been instrumental in improving the lives of children across Guyana. Together, we have supported schools by providing essential supplies, books, and resources to enhance educational opportunities for students in need.
We have partnered with hospitals and independent doctors to provide comprehensive nursing training and workshops. These initiatives focus on enhancing skills in maternal and neonatal care, psychological and trauma support, infection control, and patient assessment. Through these collaborative efforts, we aim to elevate the quality of healthcare services and ensure better outcomes for patients in these critical areas.
Caribbean North has been working together with the Rotary in Georgetown, to provide aid to disability homes in Guyana. In 2010, we provided a wheelchair bus to the Cheshire Home in Guyana. Cheshire Home is a long-term care facility for disabled children and adults.
In 2012, then Deputy Mayor of Richmond Hill, Vito Spatafora, visited the Cheshire Home and donated a library of books (including picture books, audio and interactive children’s books) for the residents.
Caribbean North is dedicated to mentoring the youth in our community by offering valuable office experience and business practice opportunities to secondary coop students in the Region of York. Through these local initiatives, we aim to equip young individuals with practical skills and insights that will help them succeed in their future careers, fostering a new generation of confident and capable professionals
Guiding Principles
Integrity in Humanitarian Efforts: Our charity will not associate with applicants seeking Canadian visas for humanitarian reasons if their applications contain false or misleading information.
Compassion for All: We provide support to everyone in need, without favoritism or discrimination.
Empathy: We approach all our initiatives with a deep understanding and sensitivity to the needs of others.
Adherence to Canada Revenue Agency Regulations: Donated funds for which a charity tax receipt is issued are used strictly for programs, not for individual beneficiaries.
We have previously assisted children with congenital birth defects to access the surgeries they need to improve their quality of life. By partnering with skilled surgeons and medical facilities, we provide these children with life-changing procedures that address conditions such as cleft lip and palate, enabling them to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.
In times of disaster, we are dedicated to providing vital relief to those affected by natural disasters, such as floods, hurricanes, and other catastrophic events. Our efforts focus on delivering immediate aid and long-term support to help communities recover and rebuild. By supplying essential resources, medical care, and assistance in the aftermath of these disasters, we strive to alleviate suffering and restore hope to those impacted.
